We offer great skate sharpening which is critical to skating your best. We have a state of the art Blademaster machine which is the same machines the NHL uses to sharpen the pro skates. We have people who have been sharpening skates for many years and they’ve sharpened thousands of skates, so we have the experience you are looking for.

One of the most frequently asked questions is: how often do I need my skate sharpened? There is no magic method, as how long a sharpening lasts depends on how much you skate, how hard you skate, the condition of the ice you are skating on, and how you treat your skates off the ice (walking on wood or concrete is really bad for the blades, for example).

One of the best ways to tell is if you are skating and your skates don’t feel like they are grabbing or you are slipping on a turn, then you should sharpen them. For most people, this is every 3-4 hours of hockey skating. An important note of why is that during skating, your edges will not only dull but will wear down, more in some areas on the blade and less in others. This makes the edges uneven and causes tracking problems. A sharpening not only sharpens the blades, but brings the edges back to level.

CAN I TRY FIELD HOCKEY STICKS?
Yes, we are the only store in the Northeast that has “demo” sticks that you can try at the store. We also have a Shooting Cage with turf next to the store in order to really get a feel for the stick before you buy.
DO YOU CARRY APPAREL & ACCESSORIES?
Yes, we carry many different types of apparel and accessories.  Some apparel examples include Bruins Gear, Bauer Gear, CCM Hoodies, custom Field Hockey Shirts, Adrenaline Shirts & Shorts, Local Town Shirts, Performance Apparel and Socks from a number of well-known brands. Accessories include many options for tape, mouthguards, gifts, games and much more.
